The Noteworthy Athleisure Edit
From hot yoga to movie marathons on the couch — effortless athleisure looks that feel as good as they look…because *January*.
Winter is when athleisure really earns its place in my closet. Between cold morning workouts, bundled-up walks to yoga class, quick errands and cozy coffee stops I think the right pieces make getting dressed feel effortless instead of overwhelming.
When it comes to athleisure I prioritize layers that actually work, fabrics that keep you warm and silhouettes that feel polished while still being comfortable. And let’s be real, not all athleisure is created equal!!
On these insanely cold and grey days we’ve been having in New York, I’ve been gravitating toward outfits that move seamlessly through my day. I love a look you can wear to a workout, then throw on a beanie and head straight to run errands or a casual lunch without feeling underdressed.
Today I’m sharing athleisure outfit inspo for all your winter activities — from what to wear for workouts to après ski to lazy Sundays on the couch.
Consider this your cold-weather guide to staying comfortable, warm and quietly stylish all season long!

Athleisure Outfit Ideas
What to Wear for a Cozy Weekend Getaway
I just got back from a quick upstate getaway with my friend Carly, and you bet I packed my favorite Spanx AirEssentials lounge set. I practically live in their half zip and wide leg pants this time of year, perfect for being comfy and looking polished. Add a white tee from Vuori (one of my favorite athleisure brands), Adidas sneakers, a neutral baseball cap and this down puffer to complete this off duty chic look.

What to Wear for a Hot Yoga Class
Hot yoga is truly my saving grace year round, but especially in the Winter. Nothing feels better than getting a good sweat in when it’s freezing outside! I don’t often lean into color, but this red hot tank and leggings set from Beyond Yoga is just so fun (and incredibly soft) and if you’re a color kinda gal- it’s perfect.
Then this Athleta fleece jacket is perfect for staying cozy, especially when paired with these mini puff boots and a sherpa tote.

What to Wear for a Morning Coffee Run
This outfit is everything I love in an athleisure looks, and in one of my favorite hues of the season — chocolate brown! Varley is a go-to brand for stylish and comfortable pieces plus I can attest to their quality. Pair this quarter zip with their slim cuff pants and this reversible wrap coat. Neutral sneakers and a baseball cap complete the look.

What to Wear for Couch Rotting
Some weekends just call for sitting on your couch, bundled up with a blanket and a movie, and not moving, right?!
This cashmere set from Tuckernuck comes in a handful of colors and the best part is you can pair the cashmere crewneck with the matching cashmere pants or with jeans. Really lean into the cozy vibes with fuzzy socks and slippers!
What to Wear for a Hot Girl Treadmill Walk
All the cool girls are wearing SET Active, so when I spotted this bodysuit I knew it was perfect for getting steps in (while still looking cute). Add this cinched waist jacket from Lululemon as a topper, and pair with matching socks and Oncloud sneakers. You’ll look like all the chic Soho girls in NYC- trust.

What to Wear for a Après Ski
These days I do a lot less skiing, and a lot more Après which is all about leaning into warm layers and relaxed pieces. When I spotted this knit puffer from Varley I knew it belonged slopeside, along with a funnel neck sweater and fleece lined leggings for extra warmth. A cozy beanie, fair isle inspired socks and Uggs (of course) are necessary after a day of wearing ski boots.

What to Wear for a Gym Session
Splits59 is another cool girl athleisure brand with lots of sleek picks for working out. While (sadly) this one shoulder sports bra won’t work for girls with bigger boobs, it’s such a unique silhouette and a fun way to stand out.
I also like the seaming on the matching leggings. A white zip-up is a great midweight layer; just add Bombas socks and my favorite APL sneakers and you’re ready to go.
