Pieces to beat the heat (but still look chic!)

Every year I think I’m prepared for the heat of New York summer, but somehow I always forget just how oppressive it can be. Between my travels, I’ve (thankfully) managed to escape the worst of it but it’s still a challenge to put together stylish outfits when it’s a million degrees outside.

I arrived back early Tuesday morning (we’re talking 1AM) to JFK this week and stepped outside into the (rather disgusting) humidity that felt swamp like.

So, needless to say, right now I’m embracing all things lightweight, linen and easy breezy. And while I’m on a bit of a shopping hiatus post-40th birthday, I’m always on the hunt for what’s new and noteworthy from my favorite retailers so I can keep the wit & whimsy shop up to date. Not only can you shop my closet in The Shop, but also noteworthy finds, seasonal favorites, and under $100 picks.
