Because a strong foundation makes getting dressed easier—and chicer. Where I shop for what, too.

I have a deep love for the pieces in my closet that show up time and time again. The ones I pack without second-guessing. The ones I’ve re-worn so many times I’ve lost count. The ones that make me feel most like myself and just make getting dressed easy.

I’m not here to preach a minimalist capsule wardrobe (I will always be someone who loves options), but I do believe in the magic of worthwhile staples. The elevated essentials that make the rest of your closet work harder—and better.

These are the pieces that have proven their worth in my wardrobe season after season. If you’re looking to make a smart addition (or refine what you already own), these are the heroes I reach for constantly:

The Crisp White Button-Down

There’s something quietly powerful about a good white shirt. I love one that’s slightly oversized but still structured—easy to wear tucked in, half-tucked or layered. It’s my year-round go-to for looking pulled together with zero effort. I especially love pairing it with denim, under sweaters, or even over a swimsuit on vacation. Just make sure you have one in your repertoire that doesn’t gap at the buttons! Sizing is crucial on this piece.

Tailored Black Trousers

The kind that make you feel like a grown-up in the best way. I wear mine with sneakers and a tee for casual days or pair them with heels and a blazer for meetings.

I love when they’re slightly cropped or have a pleated detail for a bit of French-girl polish. But the every so slightly wide leg versions I own are my most versatile.
