Spring in Paris Outfit

I started my week by pouring coffee down my front + my white robe so I knew it could only go up from there! And yet, it didn’t really but rather was filled with a lot of anxiety. I always feel this way before a big trip away - there’s so much to do and frankly, not enough time to do it. This weekend I have a lot I need to accomplish and Sunday I am once again setting out to accomplish another thing on my 40 in 40 list! Two of my girlfriends are joining me for it so it should be fun.

I hope you enjoy this week’s edit! I added in a standalone sale edit as all the forthcoming holiday sales get underway which I hope is helpful. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Housekeeping note: This post is too long for email. Please enjoy it in the Substack app or on your desktop.

The Weekly Edit 5.15.26

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:

  • Shared some exciting news I got last week after months of waiting!

  • Made this great Taverna Salad. I added some couscous and next time would add some protein, too.

  • This moment last weekend really left a mark on me. I thought about it all week long.

  • As mentioned, my anxiety, for a variety of reasons, was in major overdrive this week. My usual fixes for it weren’t working so I decided one morning to get back on my Peloton and what do you know - a 20 minute Cody pop ride was just what my nervous system needed for a little reset. I had a long hiatus this year from the bike given my travel schedule and yoga / pilates priorities but this really inspired me to do some short rides when I can.

  • Shared the latest installment of my 40 in 40 adventures!

READ + LOOK + LOVE:

  • Hobbies to start at any age.

  • The best independent bookstores in America.

  • Bookmarking the receipt for the famed Il Buco Kale Salad to make at some point this summer.

  • Thoughtful questions to spark better conversation.

  • Books to help you get out of a reading rut.

  • How to be someone who actually does things.

NOTEWORTHY SALES:

  • Tumi is doing their semi-annual sale featuring up to 30% off their premium luggage. Definitely worth a browse! I also saw this bag they just introduced and think it looks so great for summer outings.

  • Violet Grey launched their Put it in the Bag event offering 20% off some of the best brands. Select SKUs from beloved brands like Dr. Diamond, Sophie Pavitt are included as are some of my pricer favorites that are well worth grabbing at 20% off including my favorite foundation brush, this gorgeous SPF I’ve been raving about for a year, the best moisturizer for thirsty skin (my skin loves it so, so much!), this excellent perfume I always travel with, these depuffing eye patches I adore, the best hair towel + these chic hair clips, this SPF gloss I’ve been loving and will wear all summer, this eyeshadow palette I’ve used for years, and most importantly - my holy grail Victoria Beckham Beauty favs including this lip balm, the best brow pencil ever, this blush, this gloss and this lip pencil.

  • J.Crew’s Memorial Day sale launched early and you can score 40% off (!!) some newness - I ordered these cute shorts that I’ll pair with my favorite linen button down I’ve worn from the brand for 5+ years (size up!), this darling dress (the 8 fit me perfectly), this dress (size up!) and these pants (size down - the S fit me perfectly).

  • Supergoop is 20% off sitewide! The perfect sale to restock for the summer ahead. My favorite formulas from them are this powder SPF I use on my part and for re-applying SPF over makeup and this one for body.

  • Spotted a very cute designer bag on sale - it’s so perfect for summertime!

SHOP AND LOOK LOVINGLY:

  • Me + Em makes some of my most loved and complimented pieces in my wardrobe. Their new summer collection is full of standouts including this dress, this dress, this knit top (also comes in a dress version!), this clutch + this tote, this summertime sweater, this versatile dress, this dress (perfect dress for work in summer if you have a dressier work environment!), this dress and for my girls who love color - this dress is so striking (the shoulder details!) I ordered this dress and it’s great (size 8- I usually size up in this brand!)

  • Stellar Mango bag season is back. I added my favorites to the Under $100 Shop.

  • And in other bag news, I fear I may need this Toteme one.

  • The travel pouch I carry all my must-have-on-me essentials in my carry on bag has finally been restocked! It fits a lot.

  • Ughhhh La Ligne newness is really speaking to me. Particularly this dress, this tank, this dress, these jeans and this dress, too. Code MEGHAND10 for 10% off your first order.

  • If you also like the Chanel vanity bag but not the price, this one from another French brand is so cute and very similar in style (as in, I had to do a double take!) Or the raffia is darling, too!

  • This would be a very good date night top - and it’s on sale!

  • Butter yellow flip flops? Too cute.

  • Margaux’s gone viral flats are finally restocked! They’re so cute - I own the white.

  • I hadn’t looked at M.M.LaFleur in far too long and the new arrivals are really good! I of course want this dress (but which color to get!?), this is a great looking shirt dress and this is a versatile sheath.

  • I’ve been looking for the dainty chain bracelet to add to my daily stack and finally found it with this Zoe Chicco bracelet. I love it so much.
